DISCLAIMER: No MMO bashing please.
Simple question here: What MMO('s) have you played? Even if you haven't played any, just say so. I'm also speaking more in terms of pay-to-play MMO's, since if I listed every free MMO I've ever played I could write a book about it...
- City of Heroes/Villains (1 1/2 years)
- Final Fantasy 11 (6 months)
- Auto Assault (6 months)
- World of Warcraft (4 years)
- EVE Online (3 years)
- Everquest 2 (1 months)
Yeah, I think that's it.

The PC (Personal Computer) is a highly configurable and upgradable gaming platform that, among home systems, sports the widest variety of control methods, largest library of games, and cutting edge graphics and sound capabilities.
What MMO's have you played?
Beta tests not included, I'v played:
Asherons Call 1 (2 years)
Anarchy Online (6 months)
Dark Age of Camelot (2 days) - didn't like it
Planet Side (9 months)
Earth & Beyond (6 months)
Lineage 2 (1 year)
World of Warcraft (3 years)
Dungeon Runners (1 month) - was a paying subscriber
Age of Conan (3 months) - currently playing it
I don't remember how long I played each but:
World of Warcraft
Final Fantasy XI
City of Heroes/Villains
Guild Wars
Lord of the Rings Online
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Age of Conan
Currently playing none, but waiting for Warhammer Online.
Too many - I won't even mention the horrible Korean grindfest 'free2play' ones, but otherwise:
- World of Warcraft - for way too long
- EVE Online - still playing, for a few years, still playing
- City of Heroes/City of Villains - for a few months
- Guild Wars - the trial - I found it really boring after playing WoW so long
- Vanguard - A desperate (and failed) attempt to cash in on the WoW market share.
- Lord of the Rings Online - While I really enjoyed it, I didn't have enough friends playing to make it worthwile staying. They're doing a great job with it though.
- Auto Assault - Great fun. For 30 minutes.
- Anarchy Online - Purely because it was free, but could never get in to it.
- Planet Side - I enjoyed the concept, but the community was a bit disappointing.
- Lineage 2 - Lots of grinding, but it was relatively well polished and quite fun.
- Dungeon Runners - I still have this game installed - there's something appealing about a game that's ripping off other games for the fun of it - and it's actually 'good' free, not awful free.
- Pirates of the Burning Sea - The sea battles were fun, but the questing and land areas were dull and uninspiring, I guess I was comparing it too much to WoW.
- Tabula Rasa - An interesting concept, and a nice world, but when I played it was buggy and well, boring.
Okay lemme think.
Wow - 3 years
Guild wars - couple of months
Age of conan - A month, will go back after 4,5 months when they'll fix most of their problems.
Eve Online - tried it 2 or 3 times, i WANT to love this game but i just can't, too passive, too steep learning curve.
LOTRO - a year. Its fun at first but killing realistic looking bears at lvl 50 isn't what i call fun.
Vanguard - a month. Tried it, its crap. Looks good though.
And many more but really, down the line. WoW is king.
Everquest: 1 year
Everquest 2: 3 months
Dark age of camelot: 3 years
World of warcraft: 2 years
Neocron: 1 month
Asherons call 2: 2 months
Eve: 1 month
Final Fantasy XI: 3 months
LOTRO: 1 month
Guildwars: 3 months
AoC: got to 80 then quit, 1 month
I've played them all, been playign since meridian 59 then moved onto UO and EQ etc etc. Problem with the genre is it SUCKS just all clones of one another these days and soooo boring. 2003 was great though with EVE Online, SWG and PS which were all Unique and AMAZING but since then SWG and PS have been turned to shit and EVE Online I'm tired of it after playing for 5 years.
- EverQuest
- Dark Age of Camelot
- Anarchy Online
- Star Wars Galaxies
- EverQuest 2
- World of Warcraft
Ive tried just about every mmorpg out there..Im not kidding either..Every thing i found boring but everquest an coh...
Only the PvP orientated ones matter:
- Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (currently playing)
- Shadowbane
- Ultima Online
- Lineage 2
- Dark Age of Camelot
Is Guild Wars considered an MMO?
